Business Immigration Impacted by Trump Policies

August 7, 2017

One of the impacts of the RAISE Act is to decrease legal immigration. If this bill were to pass, visa numbers devoted to the best and  brightest workers, and workers to fill the employment shortages, will not be able to immigrate to the U.S. as readily as our economy needs. In addition to the anti-legal immigration bill, the administration has announced it intends to place more effort on worksite enforcement. This means employers should expect more I-9 audits and more worksite raids. We encourage employers to conduct self-audits of I-9 files and/or to hire Rose Immigration Law Firm to audit I-9 files and provide solid legal advise on how to prepare for increased enforcement efforts by the government. We aim to help employers comply with the complex immigration laws.
