The DV Lottery began running again this week, beginning October 4, 2016, and ending on November 7, 2016. This lottery offers foreign nationals from certain countries a chance at receiving an immigrant visa (permanent residence). Applicants must have been born in a qualifying country that is under-represented in the U.S. population. Applicants also must have completed at least high school or two years of experience in a skilled occupation. CAVEAT: Only one application per person. Individuals who submit more than one application will be automatically rejected. Unlike most immigration benefits, the DV Lottery is free. So you have nothing to lose and a lot to gain by submitting an application, which is available at: Diversity Lottery Begins Again.
