This year’s H-1B lottery is done! For the upcoming 2019 Fiscal Year, USCIS received 190,098 H-1B cap petitions during the first week of April. That is more than two times the available visas. On April 11, USCIS conducted the lottery via a computer-generated random selection process to fill the 65,000 regular cap and the 20,000 advanced degree cap. We expect in the next few weeks to receive receipt notices for the H-1B petitions that were selected. For petitions not selected, USCIS will return the petitions and filing fees to our office. If requested, we will try again for you next year.
