USCIS announced that Premium Processing for all H-1B cap-exempt petitions, such as extension of stay, is available again. Furthermore, H-1B 2020 cap cases can be premium processed starting with the April 1, 2019 filing date, as follows:
- All cap petitions filed as a change of status (typically F-1 to H-1B) can be concurrently filed with the request for premium processing. Petitioners will be notified by May 20, 2019, if their case was accepted for processing.
- All other cap petitions, specifically those requesting post notification, may upgrade to premium processing upon notification from USCIS.
