]]> The Department of Homeland Security (“DHS”) is considering instituting a pilot program to speed adjudication of certain employment-based applications and petitions filed at the U.S. – Canada border. Expected to be launched by late 2015, the program is designed to make adjudications at the U.S. – Canada border quicker and less expensive for “known employers.” Although the term “known employer” has yet to be defined, it appears that this expedited category will include trusted employers that have successfully filed at the US-Canada border for business immigration status for their employees.
