USCIS will run the H-1B lottery differently this year. Instead of mass filings during the first week of April, USICS will accept electronically-filed H-1B registration forms. Each registration will be subject to a nominal filing fee of $10. The registration period will run from March 1, 2020 through March 20, 2020. USCIS will then randomly select registrations, first by drawing from the advanced degree pool, and then by drawing for the pool of remaining cap registrations. Those selected will then have a period of time (as of this writing, time period unknown) for submission of a full H-1B petition. We expect there will be many, many more submissions than in previous years. Warning: One registration per worker/employer. Consult with your attorney at Rose Immigration Law Firm for assistance in registering employees and employee candidates. If you are a foreign national, we will gladly work with your employer in submitting a registration for your H-1B status.
